Brew Hut attempt 2
After our first attempt to Brew Hut over Christmas we decided to go there again for a long weekend. This time it should be a lot easier since there should be less snow. Well, we arrived at the parking lot and there was less snow. We put our backpacks on and started to hike.

After a view meters of hiking in ski boots we could put on the skis and hike uphill on the logging road. This time we didn't had to break trail. Kerstin skinning up the logging road.

After two hours we reached the trail head. Last time it took us about 5 hours. From here on we had to break trail again. It snowed the day before quite a lot so it wasn't easy. Luckily two snowshoers came down from the hut so that made life a lot easier. I think otherwise we wouldn't have made it to the hut.

We had a lunch break in the forest.

Seppel skiing up the meadows.

From the meadows you have to go up to the ridge which is another 2 km's. It is not so far but you can see pretty much at the bottom where you have to go so it seems like ages.

It cleared up.

Finally we reached the hut after 6 hours. It was a nice feeling.

Seppel went up a small hill next to the cabin. Kerstin is enjoying the view.

Brew hut is probably the best hut in the Coast Mountains. It is well insulated and has a really nice wood stove. Surprisingly we were the only ones at the hut which was quite nice. Since it is so well insulated it was pretty warm.

Kerstin enjoying tomato soup. She looks quite tired after a big day.
good night!
